Sharing something a little different today. I have always loved writing poetry, so I thought I would share one inspired by the beauty, wonder, and power of God’s creation.

In the beginning, before time was known,
Before earth had shape, before seeds had been sown,
God spoke with power, with mercy, with light,
And broke through the silence, the dark, and the night.
“Let there be light,” and the heavens were bright,
Day was awakened and born from the night.
The sky stretched above in its beauty so wide,
The waters were gathered, the land set aside.
The mountains stood tall, and the rivers ran free,
The flowers bloomed softly, the fruit filled the tree.
The sun took its place, and the moon gave its glow,
The stars lit the heavens in wonders below.
The birds filled the air, every feathered wing,
With voices of praise and the songs they would sing.
The fish filled the waters, the creatures crossed the land,
Each shaped with great wisdom by God’s loving hand.
Then God made man by His own holy hand,
Breathed life into dust, as His image would stand.
A work full of purpose, of value, of grace,
Creation reflected in humankind’s face.
And God looked around at the work He had done,
The earth and the heavens, the stars and the sun.
He saw all creation, complete in His plan,
And called it all good—the great work of His hand.
